New Pole Voima eMTB with a Brose Drive S Mag motor and 725 Wh battery
Finnish bike manufacturer Pole open a new chapter in the company’s history and present the new Pole Voima eMTB with a Brose Drive S Mag motor and 725 Wh battery. Read on to find out everything you need to know.
Pole, known for its mountain bike frames manufactured from milled aluminium, are now expanding their product range with the new Pole Voima eMTB. At its heart sits the Brose Drive S Mag motor producing 90 Nm torque. Strikingly, the motor is completely enclosed by the frame, affording it additional protection. The battery, which can be removed from the top of the downtube, is supplied by German battery specialist BMZ and has a capacity of 725 Wh. The frame has a new suspension design with raised chainstays, which is supposed to prevent chain slap. The suspension is designed for 190 mm travel, meaning that the frame, machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, is compatible with a dual-crown fork at the front and both air shocks and coil shocks at the rear.
The new Pole Voima comes in four sizes, labelled K1–K4. Initially, framesets will only be available in sizes K2 and K3 and are priced at € 5,490. Complete builds will follow starting at € 8,490, with production scheduled to start this autumn. The BMZ battery will also be available from Pole. A € 200 deposit will secure you a production slot at Pole’s in-house CNC-milling factory in Finland.
