The SCOTT AXIS eRIDE EVO is the Porsche Cayenne among eMTB’s. Although this full-suspension bike is suitable for off-road use, its future owners will undoubtedly be using it primarily in urban environments. With fenders, a lighting system and full-suspension, it should look good both in town and in the woods. We’ve taken a closer look.

The new SCOTT AXIS eRIDE EVO is a full-suspension bike for everyday use. It will be available for € 4,799.

Let’s not kid ourselves: not everyone who’s currently in the market for an eMTB will be taking it out on demanding terrain. Steep trails aren’t for everyone. Many, on the other hand, are looking for a robust, reliable bike that will take them to work during the week and into nature on the weekends. This is precisely what the SCOTT AXIS eRIDE EVO is made for.

A real pack mule: thanks to the rack, the bike is perfect for everyday commuting.
The high-quality Supernova M99 headlamp turns night into day with 600 lm

The heart of the bike is a full-suspension frame with 120 mm of rear travel, driven by a Shimano STEPS E8000 motor and an integrated 500 Wh battery. For everyday use, the bike is equipped with a high-quality 600 lm lighting system in the front, fenders and a rack with a maximum carrying capacity of 15 kg. The complete package is rounded off by a robust side stand that is attached directly to the frame.

The 120 mm travel fork provides comfort both on cobblestones and off-road
As you would expect from SCOTT, the suspension can be stiffened or locked out from the handlebar using their Twin-Loc technology

SCOTT’s Twin-Loc technology makes it possible to select three suspension modes from 120 mm to 85 mm or 0 mm travel on the rear. The rear suspension and the fork are adjusted simultaneously with a lever on the handlebar.

The wide, profiled tyres should offer sufficient grip and comfort even on unpaved roads
Thanks to the integrated battery being inserted from the bottom, there is space for a water bottle in the front triangle.

A water bottle in the front triangle ensures that you always stay hydrated. If you think this bike is for pensioners only, you’re wrong. With its clean look and discreet paint finish, it looks incredibly classy.

Our opinion of the new SCOTT AXIS eRIDE EVO

The SCOTT AXIS eRIDE EVO has the potential to be a bestseller in the Swiss brand’s portfolio. It’s the perfect everyday bike that also promises to cut a good figure on light cross-country trips. Wide tyres, a relaxed sitting position and the 120 mm suspension should make it a comfortable touring bike for long Sunday excursions. We’ve already ordered one for testing and will report back shortly.
