New E-Mountainbikes from Eurobike – Part 1

MERIDA eONE-SIXTY

MERIDA are going full gas for 2017 with the launch of a line of plus-size tire-flaunting E-MTBs that have been designed to deliver a virtually matchless performance across both the motorized and unmotorised models. The eONE-SIXTY and the eONE-TWENTY are two rigs that immediately caught out attention, boasting the new Shimano E8000. Given its compact build, MERIDA have essentially been able to achieve a nigh on identical ride to its conventional counterpart through a great design and geometry. The top-of-the-range bike offers pretty astounding value for money, seeing the eONE-SIXTY 900E lay claim to FOX Factory suspension with an X2 rear shock and FLOAT 36 fork as well as an electronic Shimano XT Di2 drivetrain, DT Swiss XM1501 wheels, and brand new MAXXIS Minion DHR 2.8″ tires – all for the eye-popping price of just € 5,499. Trust us: if it rides anywhere near as well as its spec promises, then certain competitors are going to have to seriously turn up the heat to match the pace.

Dream bike potential? The MERIDA eONE-SIXTY has a seriously dreamy spec and its ride is reputed to reflect the unmotorised Enduro.
