Giant Full-E+ 2017

For 2017, Giant have gone all-out to reinvent the Full-E+, seeing the inclusion of the familiar Maestro rear suspension design with 140 mm travel, a new approach to motor integration and wide 2.6″ plus-size tires. Just like in past years, Giant have opted for the SyncDrive motor, charged by a powerful 250W Yamaha motor with 80 Nm torque.

The Giant Full-E+ has had an overhaul for the 2017 season, and now boasts the tried-and-tested Maestro rear suspension design with 140 mm travel.

Based on an all-new aluminium frame with 140 mm travel, the carbon rocker arm brings two advantages to the table, both lowering the weight and increasing the stiffness at the rear. According to Giant, their approach to integration was key with the new design, seeing the battery slot almost seamlessly into the bike’s silhouette, wholly unlike its previous home on the downtube. Additionally, the display and control unit have both been cleverly revised to boost both their ergonomics and aesthetics.

A must on any self-respecting E-MTB: the new SRAM EX1 drivetrain with 8 impeccably set gears.

Fed by a powerful 250 W Yamaha motor with 80 Nm torque, the Full-E+’s frame is also compatible with a front mech or chainguide.

A brand new control unit that is directly linked to the grip and therefore easy to reach on the fly.

Setting you back between ca. € 3,499 and € 6,799 (with final prices to be announced in the coming weeks), the Full-E+ will be launched in three build specs and available from the end of October 2016.
