New E-Mountainbikes from Eurobike – Part 1

STEVENS E-Whaka+, E-Sledge+, E-Scope+

Firmly staking its claim on a number of bikes from certain brands for 2017, STEVENS were one of the earliest adopters of the Shimano Steps MTB motor, placing it on two of their fullies: the Whaka and the Sledge. In tune with its unmotorised equivalent, the E-Whaka+ features the same 140 mm travel. Going one up, the E-Sledge+ offers 160 mm of travel to go hand in hand with its bigger 2.8″ tires. Both bikes will be launched exclusively with plus-size tires, but consumers can choose between the € 4,599 standard model with a regular, mechanized Shimano XT 11x drivetrain, Deore disc brakes and a RockShox Yari fork, or the ES version with electronic XT Di2 shifting, XT brakes and a FOX 36 Performance fork for € 5,599.

STEVENS have also relied on the Shimano Steps for their plus-size tire-touting hardtail, the E-Scope+. Coming in just one build spec, the E-Scope+ is kitted out with a Shimano XT drivetrain and brakes, plus the RockShox Reba RL forks with 120 mm travel. The bike is set to retail at € 3,999.

With the broadest appeal for riders out of their latest E-MTB line-up, cast your eyes on the STEVENS E-Whaka+ with 140 mm travel.

The E-Sledge+ takes the action up a notch with 160 mm of travel to equip you for gnarlier terrain.
