Bosch Fast Charger – charging a 500-Wh in three hours

Alongside the new Bosch Kiox display with Bluetooth interface Bosch will present a new quick charger on the eve of EUROBIKE — it’s the Bosch Fast Charger.

We all know the problem: you want to take your eMTB for a quick spin after a hard day at work but then you realise you forgot to charge the battery. For all of those who need to charge their battery very quickly Bosch now offers the Fast Charger — a new device that charges all Bosch batteries approx. 30% faster than a standard model. It will take three hours to fully charge a 500 Wh battery and about one hour to get it to about 40% of its full capacity.

Bosch Kiox MD 002 810x540 — At first glance it’s almost impossible to distinguish the Fast Charger from a conventional one. It’s only slightly bigger and about 20% heavier.

The new Fast Charger works at 6 Amps and is about to set a new benchmark. The new fast charger is very likely to become a popular choice for rental stations and mountain huts where long loading times can be an issue.

You’ll be able to get the Bosch Fast Charger from all specialist retailers in Europe, Australia and New Zealand starting autumn 2018.
