Orbea Wild FS announced – the Spaniards go full suspension

Spanish brand Orbea introduce the first full suspension E-MTB in the company’s history. The completely new Orbea Wild FS is built around a Shimano Steps E8000 motor and offers two options in terms of wheel sizes, we’ve got all the relevant information for you.

Orbea gives riders the choice between 27.5+ and 29″ wheels, all models are available in both wheel sizes. Like some other manufacturers (recently Pivot with their Shuttle E-MTB), Orbea chose to integrate the conventional, external Shimano battery into the frame. Why are many bike makers skipping the fully integrated Shimano battery? The answer is simple: At the same capacity, it is not only 25% larger than the external battery, but also 12% heavier. Orbea also makes use of the new speed sensor, that has the magnet integrated into the rear brake rotor. A reinforced skid plate is intended to protect the motor from rock strikes.
