Spectral:ON Model Lineup Overview

The Canyon Spectral:ON will be available in four models in five sizes, XS, S, M, L, XL from € 3,799 to € 5,999, and two additional women’s models priced at € 3,799 and € 4,399 in sizes XS, S and M.

Price € 3,799

Starting the range at a very competitive € 3,799, the Spectral:ON 6.0 looks well specified for its bargain price. A 150 mm Rock Shox Yari RC fork and Rock Shox Deluxe R shock offer solid performance, and although basic, the KS Lev integra Si dropper post works well. With a robust Shimano SLX and XT drivetrain, with 34 / 11-46t gear ratio, there should be no nasty shifting gremlins. While the Schwalbe Magic Mary, Nobby Nic tires are a nice combo, they cannot match the superb performance of MAXXIS Minion DHF/DHRII combo found on more expensive models. As an entry point to E-MTB, the Spectral:ON 6.0 looks like great value. A Spectral:ON WMN 6.0 is also available with lighter Nobby Nic tires front and back and a women’s specific saddle.

Canyon Spectral:ON 7.0

Rear shock RockShox Deluxe R

Wheelset DT Swiss H1700 SPLINE

Price € 4,299

For an extra € 400 the Spectral:ON 7.0 model sees an upgrade to a 150 mm Rock Shox Lyrik RC fork, full Shimano XT drivetrain and Shimano Zee brakes. Importantly the DT Swiss wheels see an upgrade to H1700 splines, with the excellent MAXXIS Minion DHF and DHRII tires. Offering more grip and improved suspension, the Spectral:ON 7.0 is a better choice for riders looking to take their riding onto more technical terrain but still on a budget. A Spectral:ON WMN 7.0 model is available for € 4,399 with a 150 mm FOX Performance 34 fork and FOX DPS performance shock with lighter, but less capable, Schwalbe Nobby Nic tires.

Canyon Spectral:ON 8.0

Fork FOX 36 Performance Elite 160 mm
Rear shock FOX DPS Performance Elite
Motor/battery Shimano E8000/504 Wh
Schaltung SRAM EX1
Brakes SRAM CODE R
Stem Race Face AEFFECT R
Bars Race Face AEFFECT Riser
Seatpost Kind Shock LEV Integra
Wheelset DT Swiss H1501 SPLINE
Tires MAXXIS Minion DHF/DHR II
Price € 4,999

The Spectral:ON 8.0 is targeted more at the active rider looking to take on challenging terrain. Fork travel steps up to 160 mm with the FOX 36 Performance Elite fork and FOX DPS Performance Elite shock. Gear range is increased with a SRAM EX1 drivetrain with 34 / 11-48t gearing, however the 8-speed drivetrain leaves some big steps. SRAM Code R brakes offer powerful deceleration and the DT Swiss H1501 Spline wheels support the MAXXIS tires. This is our recommendation for skilled riders looking to ride tougher trails.

Canyon Spectral:ON 9.0

Fork FOX 36 Factory 150 mm
Rear shock FOX DPS Factory
Motor/battery Shimano E8000/504 Wh
Schaltung Shimano XT Di2
Brakes Shimano Saint
Stem Canyon V12
Bars Canyon CF Riser
Seatpost Kind Shock LEV Integra
Wheelset DT Swiss H1200 SPLINE

Price € 5,999

Topping the range at € 5,999, the Spectral:ON 9.0 features a 150 mm FOX 36 Factory fork and FOX DPS Factory shock. A full Shimano XT Di2 11-speed electronic drivetrain works in harmony with the Shimano E8000 drive unit, backed up with powerful Shimano Saint brakes. Schwalbe Nobby Nic tires front and back are better suited for touring or easier trails, making the Spectral:ON 9.0 model better suited to riders who value long tours over pure gravity fun.
