ContiTech, a company by Continental, introduced its new drive system at Eurobike 2014. It is made out of one display, operating unit, motor, battery, luggage rack and a charger. The CONTI eBIKE SYSTEM should set new values in the E-drive sector.

ContiTech offers its new drive system in combination with v-belts.

The system is supposed to be very flexible and can be optimized for very different applications.
For example, the motor can be built in standing or lying down. It can be combined with batteries of different makes.
The switch for choice of support is quite interesting too. The different settings can be changed with the help of a ring, which can be turned and is located on the handlebar.

We especially liked the variable mounting positioning of the display. It can be fixed, just like with other manufacturers, onto the handlebar, or onto the stem.
The ContiTech System’s settings are supposed to be very intuitive.

The new display resembles a smartphone.

We are very curious how the testbikes with this new system will perform.
