More than 1,500 readers deigned to take part in our E-MOUNTAINBIKE Readers Survey held in summer 2015 and after the nitty-gritty analysis of more than 333,000 excel boxes, we took a breather to select the winner of the giveaway competition! The prize at stake was a brand new FLYER Uproc6 8.70!

Darko’s smile says it all: More than happy with his new E-MTB.

We let the fortune fairy do her business and select the winner from the 1,515 e-mountain bikers that responded to the survey. Then it was time for us to step in, opening our doors for the lucky winner to descend on our office in Leonberg, just outside of Stuttgart, to collect the new FLYER Uproc6 8.70 worth 6,200 €. Hailing from Frankfurt, it quickly transpired just how appreciated the prize was for keen mountain biker Darko, who doesn’t shy away from more technical off-road terrain and enjoys it more and more on e-mtbs too. “I like being able to cover more ground in less time, especially when it comes to the climbs in the Taunus,” he summed up.

Die Ergebnisse der Leserumfrage sorgen immer wieder für Gesprächsstoff.
The results of the Readers Survey continue to provoke conversations.

In our office conversations constantly revolve around bikes, riding and routes, and there’s nothing we enjoy more than swapping stories, tips and know-how with our readers. Over coffee this is exactly what we did with Darko, who was keen to check out every detail on his new FLYER Uproc6 8.70. Not surprising either, as the bike in question is a veritable gamechanger, making it a deserved winner of the Design & Innovation Award 2015. Unfortunately time constraints meant that Darko, who passed by our office on his way to a business meeting in Stuttgart, couldn’t take it out for a test ride. But it was fascinating to hear about his work for the technology start-up Cobi, who are due to release an innovative product for smartphone integration, so perhaps we’ll even spot Darko out riding with a Cobi prototype on his bars in the near future. But business aside, it was satisfying to see Darko’s enthusiasm for the new bike!
