Exclusive | Lapierre Overvolt E-Mountainbike Range 2016

Lapierre invited us to their press camp in Portes du Soleil, Morzine, where they exclusively presented the new Overvolt MTB range for 2016, which now consists of 7 models. You can choose between a full suspension OST+ frame or a hardtail, with travel ranging from 120, 140, to 170mm, and either a Bosch or Yamaha motor. Read on to find out all the details!

More power, more travel

A highlight of the extended range of E-Mountainbikes is the new OST+ suspension coming with 140mm (Bosch and Yamaha) and 170mm (Yamaha) of rear travel. With more torque and more compact dimensions, the new Bosch CX motor allowed the Lapierre engineers to create a better suspension design and better geometry. By adding the Yamaha mid-mounted motor to the lineup, Lapierre gives more options to the consumer.

dfdf — For 2016 Lapierre improved the motor’s integration by adding a new skid plate for protection in rough terrain and a chain guide to keep the chain in the right place.

Lapierre Overvolt SX 800: Brand new OST+ 27.5’’ 170mm travel Overvolt frame with the new Yamaha 400Wh motor. SRAM GX 1×11 drivetrain, SRAM Guide brakes, Fox 36 Fit Performance fork with 170mm of travel, Fox DPS rear shock, dropper post.

Lapierre Overvolt FS 900: Brand new OST+ 27.5’’ 140mm travel Overvolt frame with new Bosch CX Performance 500Wh motor, SRAM XX1 drivetrain, SRAM Guide brakes, RockShox Pike RC fork with 150mm of travel, RockShox Monarch RT rear shock.

Lapierre Overvolt FS 500: Brand new OST+ 27.5’’ 140mm travel Overvolt frame with Yamaha 400Wh motor, Shimano SLX drivetrain and Shimano brakes, Fox 32 Fit Performance fork with 150mm of travel.
