New features for Specialized Turbo eMTBs thanks to Turbo OS software update

An update for Specialized Turbo eMTB unlocks some features, such as a system lock or setting of the motor assistance in 10% steps. Read here how you can update your bike and what the advantages are.

Owners of Specialized Turbo eMTBs can rejoice – their bikes are getting some new features thanks to a Turbo OS software update. This can be installed via the Mission Control app. The update mainly adds four new features.

Turbo System Lock: the bike can be secured when parked. This means that the motor is switched off and no other phone can be paired with the bike. In addition, an alarm sounds as soon as the bike is moved. Locking and unlocking is done via the app. It can also be unlocked by entering a PIN via the handlebar remote. Unlike the
Bosch Smartlock, it is not enough to carry the mobile phone with you, you have to unlock the bike in the app. To activate the Turbo System Lock, the bike must be registered with Specialized. But be careful: even when locked, it can still be moved, only the motor can no longer be activated – which does not make theft impossible, just pointless! Additional security with a lock is, therefore, still advised.

SRAM AXS Live Status: if AXS components are installed, their battery status can be shown on the display.

Live Ride Recording: the status of the ride can be displayed on the screen. Once the ride is recorded in the Mission Control app, the status of the ride can be shown on the Top Tube display.

Micro Tune: the motor assistance can be fine-tuned in 10% steps. And it can be done quickly and easily via the handlebar remote. Cool.

The Turbo OS software update is available for the following models: Levo Gen 3, Levo Gen 2 (model year 19–21) and Kenevo Gen 2 ( model year 20–21). The update affects the screen and the motor. A battery update is not possible via the Mission Control app.

Detailed instructions on how to install the update and how to use the new features can be found on the Specialized University YouTube channel.
