Massive: The new Nicolai Ion 16 E-BOXX-2
The german manufacturer Nicolai has introduced a new aggressive E-Mountainbike at
Eurobike. This E-Bike is based on the Enduro bike Ion 16. Nicolai have put themselves
firmly in the ePerformance segment with 160mm travel at the front and rear, a slack
geometry and a 45 km/h Bosch motor.

The unusual positioning of the battery on the backside of the tube, as well as the in
house developed cover for the 2nd generation Bosch Performance motor guarantee an eye-
catcher look. Additionally, the massive aluminium frame with gussets and big welds add
towards the wild looks.

in house developed motor cover comes along with an integrated lower floor protection.
Compared to the normal ION 16 without electronic motor, the ION 16 E-Boxx-2 has a
steering angle of 64,5° as well as a 10mm long reach. No wonder that one is able to fly
over the trails at over 45 km/h.
