Husqvarna Bicycles becomes new partner of Erzbergrodeo 2019
Husqvarna Bicycles will become the new partner of Erzbergrodeo 2019, one of the most prestigious Enduro motorcycle races in the world. For the young bike brand this cooperation looks like the perfect match, as Husqvarna is a well regarded brand in the off-road motorcycle world. All details directly from Husqvarna:
It is the world’s hardest Enduro-race and the largest of its kind in Europe. A real challenge for the riders as well as the material. The Erzbergrodeo has been taking place in the Austrian Erzberg near Eisenerz since 1995. Starting next year, fittingly for the event’s 25th anniversary, there will be a new partnership: Husqvarna Bicycles is the new official e-bike partner. Starting on Mai 29, and until the 2nd of July, the newcomer in the bicycle industry will face a common opponent: the “Iron Mountain”.
For four days, the Erzbergrodeo demands everything from its athletes. Stamina, courage and riding techniques make the difference between victory and defeat during the individual competitions. “When we learned about Husqvarna’s plans on starting to take on the e-bike market last year, for us it was the logical consequence to get the brand on board as a partner”, explains Karl Katoch, Austria’s bustling man of action regarding all matters involving two-wheeled vehicles. “We are very excited about this and have already some ideas and further steps planned.”
On all days of the event, there will be more events on top of the e-bike test rides and the guided rides. “We have also planned a Husqvarna Explorer Tour, during which we will ride the prologue track exclusively with e-bikes”, so Katoch. And even Susanne Puello, CEO of PEXCO GmbH is looking forward to next year’s event highlight: “The Erzbergrodeo attracts participants from all the continents – ambitious amateurs, semi-professionals as well as sponsored riders, who are looking for a real challenge. The materials are being handled without mercy – which is why the participants only rely on the best of equipment. It is the perfect opportunity to show what Husqvarna Bicycles is capable of.” Moreover, an introduction of Husqvarna’s first eMTB Apparel collection is scheduled to take place besides the rides.
Husqvarna eMTB pioneer Guido Tschugg is also going to participate once again next year: “The Iron Giant demands everything – and that’s the reason why this event has turned into such a spectator magnet that has no equal”.
The starting shot for the new partnership between Husqvarna Bicycles and the Erzbergrodeo is the official launch movie, starring Karl Katoch, Guido Tschugg and Kevin Gallas.
