EUROBIKE 2015 | CAMINADE E-One4All prototype

At EUROBIKE 2015 we stumbled across a prototype from the French bike brand CAMINADE, which just happened to be on the stand of SR SUNTOUR, the parts company. The prototype, based on CAMINADE’s mountain bike, goes by the name of E-One4All and caught our attention for two reasons: firstly, it’s their very first E-One4All fully with a 29″ tyre at the front and a 27.5″ at the rear; and secondly because it features a motor from none other than SR SUNTOUR.

With a steel frame finished by hand in France, the E-One4All boasts a distinctive design, a lifelong guarantee and a rear wheel HESC motor from SR SUNTOUR. The version on display at EUROBIKE is still in the prototype phase, and the manufacturers claimed it’ll be put through further intensive testing before launching onto the market in spring 2016.

Am Prototypen ist eine Sattelstütze des englischen Herstellers HOPE und ein Sattel mit CAMINADE Label verbaut.

Der Protoype des CAMINADE E-One4All ist mit einem BMZ-Akku mit 17 Ampere ausgestattet, der nach 24 Stunden in den Schlafmodus fällt, so dass ein unbeabsichtigte Akkuentladung nicht mehr möglich ist.
The CAMINADE E-One4All prototype houses a 17 ampere BMZ battery, which drops into sleep model after 24 hours to prevent any unintentional loss of battery life.
Der HESC ATS Hinterradantrieb von SR SUNTOUR hat 50Nm Drehmoment und 250 Watt (max. 400W).

Durch den Vergleich mit der 180mm Bremsscheibe zeigt sich deutlich die kompakte Bauweise des Heckmotors.
Next to the 180mm disc brakes, the compact rear wheel motor stands out.
Die Dämpferaufnahme ist aus Blöcken einer Aluminiumlegierung gefräst. Ein kleines Schutzblech verhindert hier allzu starke Verschmutzung.
The rear shock mount is milled from blocks of aluminium alloy. The small mudguard should prevent any major dirt from affecting it.
Die Verwendung der Stahlrohre für den Rahmenbau sorgt für eine filigrane Bauweise.
The steel tubes give the bike’s frame a delicate aesthetic.
Das SR SUNTOUR HESC ATS Display scheint mit seiner gummierten Außenhaut recht stabil zu sein. Der Ladezustand der Batterie kann zusätzlich in %-Angaben angezeigt werden. Die Anzeigen zu Geschwindigkeit, Reichweite und den vier wählbaren Fahrmodi: Eco, City, Climb und Sport, sind deutlich ablesbar.
With its rubber exterior, the SR SUNTOUR HESC ATS display appears robust. Easy to read: the speed, distance and which of the four selectable riding modes you’re in: eco, city, climb and sport. The battery life can be shown in percentages too.

The E-One4All has a free wheel hub, which is hugely advantageous if the battery runs out or if you’re riding faster than 25 km/h – after all, the bike can then be ridden like a regular bike in this case.
If the motor requires servicing, it can easily be removed by unscrewing a few bolts without having to dismantle the wheel.

The CAMINADE E-One4All will be available from spring 2016. Neither the price nor the exact build spec have been formerly announced.
