Supernova MINI 2 PRO with high beam and the rechargeable M99 MINI PRO-B54 floodlight with 1,600 lumens

Two excellent new products from Supernova: the MINI 2 PRO is the smallest StVZO approved headlamp with a high beam function, and the M99 MINI PRO-B54 is a battery-powered monster with a 1,600-lumen high beam.

The same shape as the MINI 2, but with a 550-lumen high beam: the MINI 2 PRO headlight will available from November this year for € 199.

With the new MINI 2 PRO, Supernova are offering a super small, StVZO-approved e-bike headlight. At first glance, it looks like the regular MINI 2 seeing as it’s the same size and shape, but it has a high beam function with a peak output of 550 lumens. The remote control isn’t wireless but it features a magnet, allowing it to be attached to a universal mount or the ergonomic MSH22 mount. Thanks to a collaboration with ergonomic grip specialist Ergon, you can buy the popular GA3 grip with the remote integrated, ensuring a clean looking cockpit.

The Supernova MINI 2 PRO will be available from November 2019 for all 12 V light connections for € 199, excluding the mount. However, thanks to their huge assortment, the Supernova range includes a suitable mount for all possible attachment points, be it on the handlebar, stem, fender or fork.

Supernova MINI PRO-B54

Looks like a permanently mounted M99 headlamp, but it’s a 1,600-lumen, battery-powered lamped called the MINI PRO-B54

For all those who don’t want to deal with the wiring on their bikes or want to be able to remove the light for daytime riding, Supernova present their new battery-powered flagship MINI PRO-B54. Like their permanently fitted lamps, it has a 450-lumen low beam and remote-controlled high beam with an output of 1,600 lumens. The lamp is StVZO approved and comes with a bracket for 31.8 mm and 35 mm handlebars. As with the MINI 2 PRO, the remote control is wired and equipped with a magnet.

The battery features the latest technology and enough capacity to power the MINI PRO-B54 for 2.5 hours in the brightest mode

The sleek battery pack is filled with state-of-the-art 21,700 cells, powering the MINI PRO-B54 for 2.5 to 50 hours and recharging in 2.5 hours. Not only the cells feature the latest tech: an integrated battery heater ensures that it always charges at the optimum temperature, and the Supernova app (for iOS, Android, Smart Watches) constantly communicates with the battery to give you the exact runtime remaining. Even if the battery does run out, the MINI PRO-B54 has a 2-hour reserve light, so you won’t be left in the dark. The lamp also features a coming-home mode, which keeps the lamp on for a few minutes after you’ve come to a standstill and then switches off automatically.

The MINI Pro-B54 also features the magnetic high beam switch, but it comes with the non-magnetic universal mount

All that technology comes at a price and the MINI PRO B54 will set you back by a whole € 539, available from December. At least you get a 3-year warranty, and if you use the battery’s Longlife mode (processor-controlled charging to 85% capacity), you’ll even get 5 years on the lamp and the battery.
