SIGMA EOX series for eBikes unveiled – Remotes, Displays and bike computer system
Nowadays we individualize almost everything on our bikes. SIGMA identified this trend and launched a comprehensive display and remote system for eMTBs. With a dedicated app, various displays, a smart remote and a traditional bike computer, the SIGMA EOX is fully customisable and compatible with Shimano, BAFANG and SACHS motors.
Long live customization! When developing the EOX product family, SIGMA had individualisation as one of their main objectives. With or without a display, wireless or wired, and always feeding off the main battery: SIGMA gives bike manufacturers and bikers the choice. The new SIGMA EOX series is compatible with motor systems from Shimano, SACHS and BAFANG. SIGMA’s ROX 12.0 Sport bike-computer can even replace the Shimano display without the need for additional components.
SIGMA EOX Remote 500
The SIGMA EOX Remote 500 is the heart of the smart EOX E-Bike series and is connected to the motor via a cable. All instructions are sent both to the motor and the display from the ergonomic remote. In addition to the mode buttons, a number of additional buttons allow you to operate the lighting system, the walk-assist, etc. Even without a display, a LED strip provides all the info regarding battery charge status and support mode.
SIGMA EOX View 1200
The slim and compact SIGMA EOX View 1200 display is the wired option in the EOX range. This draws its power directly from the main battery and communicates via cable with the EOX Remote 500. Thanks to a built-in ambient light sensor, it should provide good readability in all light conditions. Apart from displaying all the relevant riding data, the display also features all of the classic functions of a conventional bike computer. Furthermore, it is compatible with the Komoot app and displays turn-by-turn instructions from the navigation app. Unfortunately, the system doesn’t have a map option. There is a wide selection of brackets available for the SIGMA EOX View 1200.
SIGMA EOX-App
The SIGMA EOX app is a portable complement of the EOX cockpit system. It uses a Bluetooth connection to communicate with the EOX Remote 500 interface and records all the relevant riding data and distance. It also provides you with interesting statistics and links up with third-party apps such as Komoot and Strava. The app also allows you to customise the SIGMA EOX View 1200 display.
SIGMA ROX 12.0 Sport
The SIGMA ROX 12.0 Sport is the ideal solution for riders who need an extensive bike computer with navigation map but don’t want to add another display to their cockpit. The ROX 12.0 is compatible with the EOX Remote 500 and can be used as an eMTB display. The special thing about this computer is that it’s compatible with all Shimano STEPS motors (2018 onwards) without the need of additional components, and can even replace the original Shimano display. The ROX 12.0 communicates via Bluetooth with the original Shimano remote and can be easily retrofitted.
Prices and availability
The SIGMA ROX 12.0 Sport is already available in stores for € 399. Exact prices and availability for the EOX system have not yet been disclosed.
