The € 9,400 Riese & Müller Load 60 has secured the coveted Best in Test badge in the big cargo bike group test of our sister magazine DOWNTOWN, where it impressed the test team with its huge range of applications! As an off-road cargo bike, it’s suitable not only for lavish shopping sprees but also for exciting adventures off the beaten track. Riese & Müller’s Load 60 full-suspension cargo bike relies on a high-quality aluminium frame and combines a high level of comfort and safety into a coherent transport concept.

The SR Suntour suspension takes good care of your barbecue, wine glasses and Martini bottles. Using Riese & Müller’s online configurator, you can choose from different pre-configured Load 60 builds and adapt the spec to suit your needs and requirements. The GX build comes standard with knobby Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus tires, which, together with the suspension, make it suitable for adventurous off-road stints. Needless to say, cargo bikes are designed to carry things and small(ish) living beings. Accordingly, the Riese & Müller can be configured with a child seat, a flat loading bay or voluminous cargo box with a lid, which, together with the 200 kg maximum permissible weight, ensure maximum versatility.

The cargo box is a true space miracle! However, the Load 60 is available in other pre-configured builds too, including a version withy a child seat and one with a flat loading bay for bulky objects which, together with a total permissible weight of 200 kg, ensure maximum versatility.
With its practical navigation function, the Bosch Nyon display helps you find your way, even in unfamiliar areas. Moreover, the navigation feature allows you to plan routes comfortably from a PC and send it to your Nyon display using a smartphone.
The knobby Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus tires make the Load 60 suitable for off-road riding.

With its powerful 85 Nm Bosch CargoLine, the Load 60 accelerates willingly from a standstill while the intuitive handling makes it easy to manoeuvre despite the long wheelbase, even with a heavy load. If you’re standing at a traffic light and forgot to shift into a lighter gear, the stepless Enviolo NuVinci hub gear drivetrain allows you to change gears even when stationary while the bright Supernova M99 headlight headlight provides sufficient light for late night commutes. The big 1,000 Wh DualBattery system provides enough juice for fast-paced cross-town expeditions while the Bosch Nyon display offers many clever features, including the practical navigation and weather forecast functions. If you want to keep an eye on your phone, the SmartphoneHub allows you to use your smartphone as a display, whether you’re in the city or on a long tour. Furthermore, with the optional RX Connect security package, Riese & Müller offer an all-round carefree option including insurance and theft recovery.
