Park Tool PCS-10

Exactly as with the Feedback Sports stands, the cheaper version of the Park Tool requires some compromises too. In the case of the PCS-10 though these compromises don’t directly affect handling or operating-comfort. The head is similar to our Park Tool “best in test” and is easy to operate whilst the main weakness lies in the assembly and dismantling of the stand. There are no guide-rails on the feet – which is a common feature for 2-legged stands– . On the PCS-10 these are freely suspended and lock into the connection-triangle via a button. The angle plate itself locks onto the main column via another switch. The system is time-consuming and slightly frustrating especially when dismantling and the flimsy main column make the procedure even more frustrating. Therefore we wouldn’t recommend the PCS-10 for applications that require frequent assembly and disassembly. Still if you are looking for a stand to keep in your workshop that only has to be folded down from time to time this might be a good choice. For this application the PCS-10 gives an overall good impression and offers good stability, a robust build and a very comfortable, quick head.
