The Wild ST name is being retired. ORBEA are restructuring their Wild range for the 2027 model year, and the result is the new Wild TR. What sits behind this move, how the bike fits within the brand’s line-up going forward, and what it means for Bosch fans: that’s what we’re covering here.

ORBEA are restructuring their Wild range and, for 2027, they’re clearly separating the range by intended use and drive system. The former Wild ST becomes the new Wild TR, retaining its Bosch Performance Line CX drive system and 150 mm of travel. Meanwhile, the long-travel Wild LT takes on an even more focused role as the descending specialist and will be available exclusively with the Avinox M2S RS drive system. Here’s everything you need to know about the newly organised Wild family.

The new 2027 ORBEA Wild range in detail

With the introduction of the new Wild LT featuring the Avinox drive system, ORBEA are reorganising their eMTB line-up. While the previous Wild ST appears to be disappearing from the range, it will in fact continue under the new name Wild TR. The new designation stands for “Trail” and is intended to emphasise the bike’s versatile character.

Technically, the Wild TR continues is still based on the familiar Wild platform, featuring the Bosch Performance Line CX drive system, a choice of 600 Wh or 750 Wh batteries with optional range extender, and 150 mm of travel front and rear. There’s one significant technical update, however: while the previous Wild ST was available exclusively with an aluminium frame, the Wild TR will now be offered in both aluminium and, for the first time, carbon versions. Despite having less travel, the bike remains clearly aimed at demanding trails, continuing to rely on robust components, durable wheelsets and tough tires.

The new Wild LT carries an obvious Rallon-inspired downhill pedigree and pushes harder into maximum descending performance, leaving the Wild TR to fill the role of the range’s versatile trail bike. One consequence is that a long-travel Wild with a Bosch drive system no longer exists. Riders after maximum reserves on the descents will now be steered towards the new Wild LT and its Avinox drive system.

The spec variants of the ORBEA Wild TR 2027

The new ORBEA Wild TR will be available in five spec variants, with prices ranging between € 4,999 and € 9,999. As with the previous Wild ST, the range includes two models with aluminium frames. New for 2027 are three additional models featuring carbon frames. Regardless of frame material, all versions come equipped with the 750 Wh battery as standard, which can be swapped for the smaller 600 Wh battery through ORBEA’s configurator.

The most affordable entry points into the range are the two aluminium-framed models. The Wild TR H20 starts at € 4,999, while the Wild TR H10 retails at € 5,999.

On the entry-level H20 model, ORBEA opted for a more budget-conscious spec. Up front, suspension duties are handled by a RockShox Psylo RC fork, paired with a FOX Float Performance shock at the rear. Braking and shifting are taken care of by a Shimano Deore groupset, while the aluminium wheelset comes from ORBEA’s in-house brand, OQUO.

Compared to the H20, the Wild TR H10 upgrades to the new electronic Shimano Deore drivetrain, Shimano SLX brakes, Race Face wheels and a FOX 36 Performance fork.

The three carbon models occupy the upper end of the price ladder. Entry into the range comes via the Wild TR M20 at €6,999, sharing much of its specification with the H10 aluminium model, which sits €1,000 cheaper but runs a mechanical Shimano SLX drivetrain instead.

The next step up is the Wild TR M10, priced at €8,499. Suspension gets a clear upgrade here, with a FOX 36 Factory fork paired to a FOX Float X Factory shock, while DT Swiss handles wheel duties and Shimano’s XT range covers both drivetrain and brakes. Electronic shifting, though, is reserved for the next tier up. At €9,999, the flagship Wild TR M-TEAM brings Shimano’s XTR Di2 electronic drivetrain and rolls on OQUO E-MC32 POWER LTD wheels.

As usual, most components, along with the paint finish, can be extensively customised on every model through ORBEA’s MyO configurator, allowing you to tailor the bike precisely to your preferences.

The Wild family now splits into two clearly differentiated models. A redesigned Wild LT goes after maximum descending capability, while the new Wild TR, built around the proven Bosch platform, speaks to the trail-riding crowd. Offering the shorter-travel version in carbon for the first time feels like a logical move from ORBEA. On a versatile trail bike with 150 mm of travel, the weight savings and livelier ride feel of a carbon frame stand to make a genuine difference.
