Husqvarna 2021 eMTB lineup: All-new Extreme Cross, Hard Cross and Mountain Cross models feature Shimano’s new EP8 motor
It’s really happening: Husqvarna have equipped all of their 2021 eMTBs with the brand new Shimano EP8 motor. The latest generation of the Extreme Cross, Hard Cross and Mountain Cross models feature a Shimano 2021 motor and a 630 Wh Simplo battery. Husqvarna have just introduced a wide range of new eMTBs equipped with the brand new Shimano EP8 motor. They are powered by batteries from Taiwanese battery manufacturer Simplo, with a 630 Wh capacity for most bikes. In typical Husqvarna fashion, the motor is the visual focus of the bike, at the heart of a distinctive design that clearly differentiates its bikes from everything else on the market. A sturdy bash plate called the Skeleton Interface rounds off the harmonious design and protects the motor from impacts. Depending on the model and spec, Husqvarna deliver their 2021 eMTB fleet with either the new SC-EM80 and SC-E5000 displays, or the popular existing black and white SC-E7000. The new Husqvarna Mountain Cross models
All new Husqvarna Mountain Cross models feature the new Shimano EP8 motor, revised geometry and a mullet wheel setup with a 29 ” wheel up front and 27.5″ wheel on the rear. All of this is meant to make Husqvarna’s 150 mm all-rounder even more capable than its predecessor. Prices start at € 4,399 for the Mountain Cross 4, while the top of the range Mountain Cross 7 model retails at € 6,799. All spec options have a maximum permissible weight of 130 kg.
