Is this still a Haibike? The distinctive german brand is revolutionizing its design concept with the Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025. It isn’t just the looks either – there have also been plenty of changes under the hood. Haibike promise uncompromising trail performance and ultimate riding fun. We put their new bike to the test to see if it delivers.

23.35 kg in size L | € 10,000 | Manufacturer’s website
Boasting a radical new design, the HYBE CF 11 2025 is aimed at sporty riders and demanding terrain. The successor to their dedicated race eMTB – which Andrea Garibbo rode to 2nd place at the 2024 E-Enduro World Championship – has undergone a complete design overhaul. The HYBE has been on a diet, the old aluminium rear triangle replaced with carbon fibre to reduce weight. Admittedly, our test bike features a few deviations from the stock spec which will shave off a few more grams (carbon wheels and different tires), but at just 23.35 kg, the new bike is a full 3 kg lighter than the 2024 HYBE 9.
The motor has also seen an update to the latest 5th generation Bosch Performance Line CX system, from the old Gen 4 CX Race tuned motor. Combined with a mullet wheel setup – 29” up front and 27.5” at the rear – and 170 mm travel at the front and 160 mm at the rear, the HYBE CF 11 promises to conquer challenging trails with ease.
We put the new HYBE to the test on our home trails and the rugged tracks of Finale Ligure. Our goal? To find out if this 23.35 kg, € 10,000 machine lives up to the hype.

The new Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025 in detail
Wait! What? When we first laid eyes on the Haibike HYBE CF 11, we could hardly believe it. Haibike’s striking, signature design feature – the characteristic hump in the top tube – is gone. Instead, the new HYBE design takes strong cues from their more minimalist light eMTB, the Haibike LYKE.

The new HYBE CF 11 features a full carbon fibre construction (CF = Carbon Fibre, if you hadn’t guessed), while the outgoing model featured a carbon fibre front triangle paired with an aluminium rear end – speaking of which, you can find our review of the 2024 HYBE 9 here. For die-hard metalheads, Haibike also offers the HYBE 10.5, a version made entirely of lightweight aluminum.
The increased use of carbon isn’t the only update. The HYBE now features a horizontally mounted shock, combined with a newly designed four-bar rear suspension design. Haibike has also moved away from their Modular Rail System for accessory mounts, opting instead for a single classic bottle cage mount to fit a water bottle or tool kit.

Let’s twist again, like we did last summer! – A closer look at the rotated Bosch Gen 5 motor system
Like Chubby Checker twisting on the dance floor, Haibike love to experiment with ebike motor positioning. The HYBE CF 11 features the new fifth generation Bosch Performance Line CX motor. With 85 Nm of torque and up to 600 W of peak power, it promises plenty of punch for steep, prolonged climbs.
The twist? On the new HYBE CF 11, the motor is rotated 85° upwards, integrated into the frame from above, and encased in a carbon cocoon. This configuration creates space for the long 800 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery to be positioned in front of the motor, rather than on top of it. The result: A lower center of gravity that aims to enhance handling, especially in tight corners.
For comparison, the previous HYBE 11 model was equipped with the Bosch Performance Line CX Race motor, offering a slightly sharper bite with 400% pedal assist in Race mode compared to the new CX’s 340% in Turbo mode. However, the updated sensors of the fifth generation provide noticeably smoother engagement and disengagement, delivering a much more natural feel – and, crucially, it’s completely rattle-free.

Additionally, the down tube remains closed with this new construction, increasing the frame’s stiffness. The battery can still be removed: a cover near the bottom bracket can be flipped open to the side using a twist knob, revealing a hook released with a loop – used to unlock the battery, which allows the battery to slide out of the bottom of the down tube. Unfortunately, this can only be done with the bike lying down or upside down.

The battery can also be charged directly on the bike. The charging port is located within the frame triangle on the seat tube, where it’s well-protected from dirt and mud, but remains easily accessible. The charging port also serves as the connection for the optional Bosch PowerMore 250 Wh Range Extender (sold separately). However, this feature is only available to taller riders – only the L and XL frame sizes have enough space to accommodate the extra battery.

The Bosch system is controlled via the sleek Mini Remote on the handlebars and the integrated System Controller in the top tube. The streamlined cockpit emphasizes the minimalist look of the HYBE CF 11.
The spec of our Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025
The Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025 comes equipped with a RockShox ZEB Ultimate fork and a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate air shock, both offering top-notch trail performance and extensive adjustability. The RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post with 150 mm travel, paired with the wireless SRAM GX Eagle Transmission drivetrain, ensures a clean cockpit, but a longer dropper would offer more freedom of movement. Conveniently, the dropper post uses the same battery as the rear derailleur, which delivers precise and reliable shifting, even under load.

The wireless remotes for the SRAM GX Eagle Transmission drivetrain and the RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post are mounted to a RaceFace Era carbon handlebar. The only cables visible at the cockpit – routed through the headset, to the dismay of home mechanics – belong to the SRAM MAVEN Ultimate brakes. These deliver immense stopping power paired with a 220 mm rotor up front and 200 mm at the rear, bringing the bike from 50 to 0 as if hitting a brick wall.

Our test bike is fitted with robust DT Swiss HXC 1501 carbon wheels, complemented by a set of Continental tires. At the front, the Kryptotal Fr with Enduro casing and SuperSoft compound provides maximum grip, while the rear Kryptotal Re adds a little more durability with its tough Downhill casing and firmer Soft compound. We thought this offered a great blend of grip and stability – outstanding.

However, take note: in its stock configuration, the HYBE CF 11 rolls on DT Swiss HX 1501 aluminum wheels and comes in size L with a 170 mm Dropper. While the Continental tires might look the same, both tires feature the less-robust Enduro casing with the harder Soft compound. If you want to maximize grip and puncture protection, we recommend upgrading to the tire combination found on our test bike.

The chainstay protector is seamlessly integrated and extends all the way to the motor. It does its job perfectly – the chain on the HYBE CF 11 runs silently, and the paintwork remains unscathed.
The spec variants of the new Haibike HYBE 2025
The Haibike HYBE 2025 is available in two spec variants: the CF 9 and the top-tier CF 11, which we tested. Both models share the same high-quality carbon frame, reliable Continental Kryptotal tires, and Bosch Performance Line CX motor with an 800 Wh battery.

The CF 9 is aimed at riders seeking a solid setup at an attractive price. For € 7,499, it comes equipped with SRAM DB8 four-piston brakes, a wireless SRAM S1000 Transmission drivetrain, and durable aluminum wheels from WTB. The suspension consists of a RockShox ZEB Select RC fork and a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ shock. While these components don’t offer the same level of adjustability and performance as the top models, their simplified setup makes them beginner-friendly.
The geometry of the new Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025
The new Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025 is available in four sizes: S, M, L, and XL. Riders planning to use the optional Range Extender should note that it only fits frame sizes L and XL. In size L, the bike has a reach of 481 mm, making it slightly longer than the old HYBE 9. The chainstays, on the other hand, have been shortened to 450 mm and remain consistent across all sizes. Combined with the 27.5″ rear wheel, this gives the bike a nimble and agile feel.
The stack measures 651 mm, which is on the high side, providing extra confidence on descents – a point we’ll explore further in the ride impressions. The seat angle is relatively steep at 77.5°, ensuring a centered riding position and improved climbing efficiency. Haibike have also addressed our criticism of the overly long seat tube on the HYBE 9: at 460 mm in size L, it’s still too long, but not as much as it used to be.

The new Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025 on the trail
Take a seat! As rough as the trails in Finale might be, the breathtaking views of the Ligurian Riviera make it all worthwhile. To soak it all in, we pedaled the Haibike up nearly every climb in the area. The relaxed, upright riding position and balanced weight distribution between hands and saddle make the HYBE CF 11 a fantastic companion for long tours or exploring distant peaks.

On forest roads, the bike feels efficient, with barely any pedal bob – no need to reach for the lockout lever. When things get steeper and more technical, the HYBE CF 11 transforms into a mountain goat. The steep seat angle keeps your upper body and weight forward, ensuring enough pressure on the front wheel. This prevents the front wheel from lifting and keeps it firmly planted, offering precise grip when navigating through challenging sections.

By the time we reached the summit – only slightly out of breath, as the Bosch CX motor in Turbo mode works like a chairlift – we had plenty of time to enjoy the view. After snapping a few shots for the ‘Gram, it was time to dive into the next descent.

On flow trails, the HYBE CF 11 shows that while it doesn’t exactly transform into a lithe cheetah, it’s still quick and responsive. Steering inputs are implemented with precision, while the SuperSoft compound of the front tire provides excellent grip. Thanks to the shorter chainstays compared to the previous HYBE 9 and the lower center of gravity, the bike lives up to Haibike’s promise of agility. It handles rapid direction changes effortlessly – not quite like a cheetah chasing a zigzagging hare, but it certainly puts a wide grin on your face.

In steep and technically demanding terrain, the bike maintains remarkable composure, despite its agility. The only minor drawback is the seat tube, which slightly limits freedom of movement in very steep sections. On the flip side, the firm suspension ensures the bike remains controllable even at high speeds. Whether it’s rough landings or big hits in the bike park, the suspension has plenty of reserves to handle big impacts without throwing you off. Additionally, the high stack provides a sense of security, especially for beginners, and encourages you to leave the brakes off a little longer – even on daringly steep sections. And if things get too dicey, the power of the SRAM MAVEN brakes will bring you back to a manageable speed – or straight to a stop – with Formula 1-level precision.
Who is the Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025 for?
Everyone – or at least a very wide audience! The HYBE will appeal to a broad range of riders, with its comfortable riding position making it ideal for long tours and exploratory adventures. At the same time, thrill-seekers who love to push their limits will quickly feel at home on the Haibike. The successful balance between stability and responsive handling bridges the gap between comfort and performance.
Conclusion on the new Haibike HYBE CF 11 2025
With the HYBE CF 11 2025, Haibike not only break new ground in terms of design, but also deliver a bike that combines agility and stability into an impressive overall package. While the long seat tube slightly limits freedom of movement on very steep terrain, the full-carbon frame, powerful Bosch Performance Line CX motor, and well thought-out geometry shine on technical trails, as well as during relaxed tours. A versatile companion for sporty adventures.
