FOCUS Project Y

Media Days FOCUS EMTB 1 1140x760
Alongside the sophisticated-looking gravel bike, there were three Project Y bikes to admire at EUROBIKE Media Days…

Ok, we’ll admit that FOCUS Project Y isn’t strictly related to E-MTBs but their research into road biking technology surely constituted the most hotly discussed topic at the Media Days so we couldn’t pass up on telling you about this exciting concept. Let’s keep it short: FOCUS have succeeded in creating a lightweight (just 12kg) e-road bike, which is reputed to ride very much like a regular road bike and therefore hold veritable appeal for ambitious cyclists. Thanks to the Fazua motor, you’ll get up to 400 watts of additional power, and the motor will barely be noticeable above 25 km/h. Head over to GRAN FONDO Magazine for our First Look article on Project Y.
