Simplon STEAMER CARBON – a beautiful carbon bike from Austria

The top of the line Simplon STEAMER CARBON stands out from the crowd with covet-worthy componentry and a distinctive paint job.

After first presenting the STEAMER CARBON at last year’s EUROBIKE as a 3D printed model, Simplon are now satisfied that this E-MTB is ready to drop. The high-end carbon frame has a fully integrated Shimano Steps E8000 motor with a removable 500 Wh battery. The STEAMER CARBON has 150 mm front and rear suspension as well as space for wide 2.6″ tires. Simplon have stated it weighs around 21.5 kg, and the top model with electronic XT Di2 shifting retails at a very fair € 6,899.

In the left main bearing there’s a rotatable cable guide to prevent the cable from rubbing on the frame.

Conveying real bite, the STEAMER CARBON comes to a halt with Magura MT7 brakes.

The Shimano E8000 motor flows fluidly into the Simplon’s frame.

For suspension Simplon have opted for a compact Trunnion-mounted RockShox Deluxe.

The roomy downtube has space for the battery, which can be removed for charging.
