Ridley Elykx C Carbon hardtail with a Shimano motor

Borrowing heavily from their race-focused hardtails, the Ridley Elykx C is one of the lightest E-MTBs on the market at just 17 kg.

Until now Ridley have primarily kept to lightweight race bikes, so it’s exciting to see that the Belgian team have launched their first E-MTB with the Elykx C. A 29er carbon hardtail with a Shimano Steps E8000 motor, the Elykx C is reputed to weigh just 17 kg, which is real bait for those looking for more performance on gravel tracks, fire roads and mellow terrain. There’s 120 mm of travel for a sufficient dose of comfort and the top-of-the-range model features electronic XT Di2 shifting. Ridley have consciously opted for 29er wheels so that the bike will maintain speed above 25 km/h.

#BeTOUGH: even Ridley’s E-MTB offering is more targeted towards performance-focused riders.
Shimano’s E8000 motor has a sophisticated design in the carbon Elykx C.
The Ridley Elykx C will be available from November onwards.
