We’ve all experienced that sinking feeling you get when you’ve just bought something brand new, but before you know it another product has been launched and your proud purchase already seems outdated. Exhausting, right? With its latest hybrid collection, the German bike company Rotwild have more than exceeded industry standards, as their newest model makes the entire sector look a little tired.
The German mountain biking pioneer and owner of CENTURION, Wolfgang Renner, is inspired by the freedom of two wheels. He’s drawn to the curiosity that comes from riding a bike, the opportunity to discover and be surprised by your surroundings time after time while riding. This attitude is reflected in his bikes too; they’re not race-orientated, not created to shine on competition courses. Instead, they’re bikes designed to accompany riders on their travels, their voyages of discovery. And this
is exactly the kind of trip the new Numinis E 2000.27 DX experienced with us in the South of France.

He’s one of Germany’s most successful riders, and is still the only German to have toed the startline of the legendary Red Bull Rampage. He lives for action, speed, and huge amounts of airtime. But as of this year, you’ll find him astride an E-MTB. This might strike many of us as a contradiction – but he’s serious about riding e-bikes from Haibike. We caught up with him to chat about life, this transition, and his first road trip to the south.
