This years highlight from the Trek World wasn’t a mountainbike or a roadbike but the all-new e-mountainbike full suspension bike Powerfly+ FS. After the first announcement of an e-mtb fully by Trek, we were very excited, especially knowing the excellent job Trek did with its well-made Powerfly Hardtail. And indeed it was no disappointment: The new Powerfly+ FS could mark an successful entry for Trek in the full suspension e-mountainbike market.

The Facts

The Trek Powerfly+ FS has 120 millimeter of travel, 27.5″ wheels and weights less than 21kg (18.5″ framesize). There will be three build kits available, the FS 9, FS 7 and the FS 5, selling for €4,499, €3,699 and €3,299.

Die 120mm Federweg am Heck liefert der RockShox Monarch DebonAir RL. Bei der DebonAir Version  wurde sowohl die Negativ, als auch die Positivluftkammer vergrößert. The Trek Powerfly+ FS has an SRAM X1 11-speed drivetrain with a 42 teeth sprocket to climb even the steepest uphills. The deep-set chainstay avoids chain rattling.
Das erhöhte Hauptlager oberhalb der Kettenlinie verhindert allzu strake Antriebseinflüsse auf das Fahrwerk.
The main pivot point is positioned higher than the chain-line to avoid pedal-influences on the suspension.
Die Prototype  Motorenabdeckung ist noch nicht final und soll bis zur Serienfertigung nicht mehr an der Kette schleifen.
