For 2016 Bergamonts E-Mountainbike range is expanding by a further full-suspension model ab 2016 – the Trailster C. But the bike doesn’t just borrow its name from its existing unmotorised brother but also shows one or two other family resemblances. We have the newest info about this full-susser for you.

Update (November 2015)

In the meantime we had the chance to conduct an extensive test of the bike. Head over to the
E-Mountainbike Review of the Bergamont E-Line Trailster C 8.0 2016.

New for 2016 – the Bergamont Trailster C

The Trailster C has settled in the All Mountain category, and just like its motorless equivalent it sits on 140/150mm suspension and 27.5” wheels. Bergamont follows many other bike makers by installing a new Bosch CX drivetrain with 500 Wh battery. The cheapest of the 3 available specifications will be with a 400 battery, however – this means costs can be cut a little.

The top model 9.0 is marketed at 5200 € and uses a 1 x 11 SRAM X1 drivetrain and MAGURA MT4 brakes. It also has a Sun Ringlé wheel set, RS Pike fork and Monarch RT3 shock. The mid-price version costs 700 € less, but still has a good spec. The fork becomes a FOX 34 Performance, wheels change to DT Swiss X1900 and the drivetrain stays with 1 x 11 but from Shimano XT. The lowest priced model of the Trailster C range can be bought for 3800€ (400 Wh) or 4000 € (500 Wh) and has suspension from Manitou and a mix of mainly Shimano parts with in-house components. A more detailed first look can be found here.
