Conway eMT Trail-Hardtails – mixed wheels for an elevated performance

We presented the Conway eWME 727 back in this article back in May.

We presented the Conway eWME a while back, so it was no surprise to see that Conway’s latest flagship full-susser was a must-see at Media Days. They also used the occasion to present their eMT collection of hardtail models, which are built around a design with 140 mm of travel and a Shimano STEPS E8000 motor. This hardtail will be launched in two versions: the eMTB 327 Plus with regular 27.5″ plus-size tires and the eMT 627 MX with a 27.5″ out back and a 29″ up front. Prices are yet to be confirmed, but it looks like the eMT 327 Plus will retail around € 3,400 while the eMT 627 MX will be around € 3,800. Conway only had a prototype on display at the EUROBIKE Media Days, so the spec is likely to go through some changes before the official launch.

Wide out back, big up front: the Conway eMT 627 MX is pure motocross style.
As Conway only had a prototype on show, there are no official details on pricing or spec.
With 140 mm of travel, we don’t think much will hold the eMT back while out on the trails.
Borrowing integration and design cues from the eWME, the eMT relies on Shimano’s E-8000 motor.
